Geometry of Echos
Geometry of Echos is a painting that explores the relationship between intuition and reason and utilises both chance and intentionality as strategies in its making.
I am interested in how opposite energies can only really be understood by their relationship to each other and how a painting can hold many different viewpoints and energies simultaneously.
Geometry of Echos was made over 4 different studio moves and holds the energies of each different studio environment, the complex human relationships as well as the materials and ideas gathered in each place. My most recent studio move is to the far South Coast of NSW and I like to think that the painting has been under the influence of the tides, sea eagles the moon and the stars.
