March 4 – 5 – Painting Fundamentals 1: Tonal Painting with Kevin McKay
This weekend workshop is the first in a series that will introduce beginners to the techniques and approaches necessary to paint confidently in acrylic and oils, with guidance from accomplished artist and art educator, Kevin McKay.
Painting Fundamentals 1 will introduce you to tonal painting, composing accurately from life, and modelling the effects of light and shadow.
March 11 – 12 – Composition and Collage – Beginners with Deborah Marks
Enjoy while discovering the highly creative realm of collage, learning the art of visual composition. We will use the elements and principles of design and colour to investigate compositional structures and explore the varied possibilities of collage. We will explore a wide range of approaches and styles to this art form, stimulating your imagination to discover creative possibilities.
