Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November – Colour Mixing and Composition with Deborah Marks
Come and enjoy a weekend workshop exploring colour relationships and our visual reactions to them. Through a systematic study of colour relationships, you will see the reactions different colours have when placed next to each other, as well as feeling colour relatedness. We will explore the dimensions of colour – hue, value, intensity and temperature.
This is a practical and structured workshop where students are guided through in-depth colour mixing exercises. These include mixing, primary, secondary and tertiary colours, painted within a grid pattern. This workshop gives you the opportunity to focus, structure and make sense of this broad subject. It is suitable for beginners and those who would like to understand colour and its relationships more fully.
Sunday 27 November – Turn your Travel Pics into Watercolour Paintings with Amanda Doctor
In this watercolour workshop you will learn how to edit your references, find and enhance your centre of interest and look for artistic opportunities to create a painting that is representational of your holiday. Not for beginners.
