This print is taken from series depicting the demolition of the Wallerawang Power Station, that occurred in November 2021. I want to share images of the coal mining and energy industry from the perspective of the community that lives and works amongst it and show its reality to an audience that doesn’t have the opportunity of seeing this industry up close. This demolition was very important to the community as an iconic, cherished and memorable landmark disappeared from our skylines whilst we gathered to watch.
