Painting and drawing in and around Broken Hill, NSW for 3 weeks in 2024, I worked on a series of watercolours and inks from the top of the Slag Heap. Most interesting to me was being up on this huge mound of rubble beside the main street of Broken Hill. From such a vantage point I could see down the streets and across the town. When I returned to Sydney I worked from these observational drawings on a series of paintings including this one “2 figures, 2 cars, Broken Hill”
