- How long have you been at WWAS? I began classes at WWAS in first term of 2012. I have been a student at WWAS most years since then.
- Where do you travel from each week? I live in Woollahra, walking distance to WWAS.
- What classes do you do at WWAS? On Monday afternoon, I learn watercolour with Amanda Doctor. On Thursday morning, I learn portrait painting with Joshua McPherson.
- What do you do when you are not creating? I am the cook in our household.
- Who are your tutors and what do you like about them? In the past, I had many classes with Stavros Papantoniou, Phillipa Hagon and Kevin McKay. Now, my teachers are Josh McPherson and Amanda Doctor. What I like about all of them is that they focus on teaching us skills, and that they are friendly and very supportive of students.
- Why do you keep coming back to WWAS? Several factors draw me back. I feel a strong connection with my classmates. I am always learning something new. WWAS is a home for me as a student.
- What are you currently working on? I am working on some portraits, some on commission and some for family and friends. I have some landscapes in progress and I am improving my watercolour skills.
- What inspires or motivates your art practice? What inspires me is what my new life in Australia offers me. When I came here in October 2011 to live, I had my partner. Four months later, I began at WWAS. There was no chance in Hong Kong to do what I am doing here, to learn what I am learning, to develop my skills. Since 2016, I have been an Australian citizen. My new life has made all this possible.
- Who are your favourite artists? I love the 19th century impressionists. When my partner and I went to Paris in 2014, we visited the Orangerie. It is extraordinary.}
- What would you say to someone thinking about taking art classes at WWAS? I would say four things: everyone can create, you need skills; you will learn them at WWAS; art never dies.
