Studio Composition (Wrapped) features a collection of everyday domestic objects scattered across my studio desk. These items—familiar brands and objects in the Australian home such as Chux wipes, a Coles shopping bag, or a roll of Glad Wrap—reflect the functional, consumer-driven nature of contemporary life. Each of these objects has a practical purpose, but their lifespan is brief, often lasting only a few months or even a single use.
The idea behind Studio Composition (Wrapped) is to celebrate these everyday, fleeting objects—things we often overlook, discard, or take for granted. What if, instead of being disposable, these items were made to last, repaired, and reused? Through this piece, I want to highlight the quiet beauty and overlooked significance of these objects that, though temporary, play an essential part in our daily lives.
