My print is an aquatint. An aquatint is developing an etched plate further in acid to produce tones by sprinkling rosin on the surface, masking areas and using different times in the acid to deepen the tone. The subject is the water pumps from the Uranquinty gas fired power station. I live about 17kms away from the power station near Uranquinty. It was built in 2009. I see it on my commute to and from Wagga Wagga and observe it at different times of the day. I was able to set up some visits with management to take photos on site some years ago. I recently printed this work, informed by photographs from my visits onsite.
