Green’s work delves deeply into her personal experience on Country one of the richest global biodiversity hotspots in the Southwest of Western Australia. The work is a palimpsest of markings evoking the irony of beauty in an extremely vulnerable and threatened ecological time.
The ancient undulations of Koi Kyeunu-ruff (The Stirling Ranges) are photographically stitched together and framed by a series of cut-out polygon shaped linoleum blocks. Inspired by the brutalist architecture, these geometric shapes form a warped sense of perspective symbolising our human stamp on our more-than-human-world.
