A room made of water is based on an aquarium environment. My work focuses on locations that reconstruct nature, like aquariums, gardens and museum displays. These sites act as a model through which I explore how we experience and consume the spectacle of nature and “landscape” more broadly within contemporary culture during an era of environmental uncertainty.
The work is drawn from regular excursions to the Sydney Sealife Aquarium and the (now demolished) Manly Aquarium
