1.What do you do at WWAS?
I teach Drawing on a Monday morning and Clay Figure Sculpture on Monday afternoons.
2. Tell us about your artistic/career journey to this point.
I attended College of Fine Arts UNSW. No permanent damage was done and I made a full recovery. In my final year of Art school I won the NSW Travelling Art Scholarship . This provided me with a studio in Paris for 5 months and ignited my passion for travel . Subsequently , I established an art career; exhibited with Robin Gibson Gallery and taught at TAFE for 9 years. In 2019 I exhibited with Sculpture by the Sea for the sixth time and I recently staged my 23rd solo exhibition . I continue to persist.
3. What is your favourite thing about WWAS?
The students. Opinionated , feisty , learned , good humoured , supportive , irreverent and enthusiastic.
4. If you could share a meal with three artists living or dead, who would they be?
Mark Rothko . Bernini . Caravaggio .
5. If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to and why?
I would return to the Age of Dinosaurs and observe that giant zoo in action.
6. What three items would you take with you on a deserted island?
Harrods food hall, I MAX Giant screen, Norgen Vaas Ice Cream cabinet
