Creating your own travel sketchbook is an enjoyable and evocative way to record your travel experiences. Richard Byrnes has been travelling and sketching for over 35 years and can provide valuable advice to create a vibrant travel sketchbook. From detailed studies to quick gestural impressions, this class outlines techniques and methods to capture the essence of what you see on your travels.
Fundamentals of perspective for rendering architecture and landscape, sketching figures, faces, media and composition are all covered in this class.

About Your Teacher
Richard is a practising artist, having held 20 solo and over 100 group exhibitions in Australia and overseas. Having extensive teaching experience to draw upon, he is committed to teaching sound drawing and sculpture techniques in ways that are clear and accessible. Richards works are included in the National Gallery, University of NSW, Artbank, Macquarie University and various regional gallery collections. Richard’s public sculpture commissions can be seen in North Sydney, Marrickville and Macquarie University. He is represented by the Robin Gibson Gallery in Sydney.
