Our approach is guided by the principles of:

- Recognising Rights & Maintaining Culture: We acknowledge and protect First Nations rights and cultural integrity. Our practices and curriculum will reflect the importance of ICIP and its safeguarding.
- Prior Informed Consent & Consultation: We commit to engaging with First Nations individuals and communities through culturally appropriate consultation, ensuring , prior, and informed consent for any use of their culture or knowledge.
- Integrity: We will manage and represent First Nations cultural knowledge and information with the respect, ensuring accuracy, context, and confidentiality as required.
- Attribution & Benefit Sharing: We will always provide clear and appropriate attribution for any First Nations contributions and ensure fair and equitable sharing of any benefits arising from collaborative endeavours, as determined by the involved communities.
WWAS is dedicated to ongoing learning and building meaningful partnerships with First Nations artists and communities, ensuring our teaching and operations honour and respect their rich cultural heritage.
This statement reflects our commitment to embedding these principles into the fabric of WWAS, fostering an environment where creativity and cultural respect go hand in hand.
