Bronwen Wade Leeuwen


Bronwen is a Sydney-born artist who has dedicated much of her life to exploring the creative process as an Artogropher (Artist, researcher and educator). The daughter of a keen Sydney-based watercolourist, Trish Wade Quinn, it was in Singapore where Bronwen began to carve out her own career while studying under Chinese Masters at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in the 1970’s.

Bronwen set up the Ink Treasure Society, Canberra’s first Chinese painting group in 1995, and continues to draw praise for her creative and inventive work at exhibitions around Australia. Teacher of expressive Moku (ink-splash) watercolours at the Workshop Art Centre (WAC) for 30 years and presents international arts workshops annually from 2009-2019.
