Zoom is used to refer to both the noun and verb. “Zooming in” is being highly focused in the cyber world-inside zoom. “Zooming out” refers to a conflicting sense of zoning out or disconnection. This conflict of stimulation encourages an inherent urgency to both consume and achieve at detrimental speed.
This image was made using multiple forms of technology and processes – mapped and represented by direct tracings from my phone from a zoom class. The tracings were then layered to show the sequence of exercises within a musical phrasing of 1/3 timing, in multiple viewing screens.
