This story is mine, a walk through life, each step a chapter. Each breath a brushstroke on my canvas.
The colours shift – the harsh earth and the dust of struggles. The gentle coral hues that appear, when the light breaks through.
Each section carries the weight of moments that I have faced, yet transformed by time, with the turning of the earth, the journey of the day.
My paintings are a bit like life. It looks one way when you see it from a distance, that whole bigger picture view, but then when you get close, you notice all the little details and parts you didn’t see before.
You have to get close to it to see all those special things. That’s sort of like how I see myself, and my life. We put on a different character or mask, a way we want other people to see us, but when you get close things are different.
And always the water flows, it is my spirituality, the living water unceasing, even when I wander, or drift, it is my still-point. The river finds me and carries me home.
