She said it was time to go, this title is a fragment of a script, where she is the protagonist. This work is part of a developing body of work examining female portraiture.
This work initially evolved out of a sculpture project using glass and is a mix of new and old skills. The glass is laser etched and then rubbed with oil paint. Stencils are cut and used with spray paint. Applied last is an old signwriter’s gold leafing technique giving the work the ability to change with the light.
