Digital print from an ongoing series, a joyful ode to the birds of a coastal neighbourhood and the patterns and shapes, movements and rhythms they inscribe across the landscapes of our streets and yards; our public and private spaces.
Marta Romer trained in traditional printmaking disciplines, but enjoys working with digital processes (as in this archival pigment inkjet print) to explore a highly saturated use of colour and relationships of light and shadow, transparency and opacity, to produce an intensified reality and a luminous, printed surface.
