This work was created during the time of unprecedented disasters. There was no avoiding keeping all that out of the mix. Home and Hearth has undergone changes, including multiple name changes. It was started just after the bushfires and finished after lockdown. I’ve lived through fires in the Blue Mountains of NSW and watched the amazing recovery of the bush. At first the green was meant to represent the burgeoning of the burnt trees. Then came COVID and the shrinkage of life to house and garden. The green is hope.
