Park Arts 2019

In collaboration with Centennial Park the Park Arts program is a series of workshops held in Centennial Park with our artist educators to show you how to improve your skills in capturing the beautiful Parklands.

Sunset Class with Kevin McKay

Friday 22 May 5:30pm to 7:30pm 2019 (Glass of wine and all materials included.)

Make Friday evenings better with this fabulous sunset art and wine series. This painting class will show you how to capture the beautiful moment as when the sun goes down – the magic hour when the park transforms into a rainbow of colour and silhouettes. Feel free to bring your own paints and paper if desired.

Watercolours in the Morning with Tanya Baily

Sunday 26 May 10am until Midday 2019 (Coffee, tea, pastries and all materials included. Feel free to bring your own materials if you prefer.)

The first in this series will be taught by award winning Watercolour artist Tanya Baily from the Waverley Woollahra Art School.

In this painting class you will learn tips and techniques for working Plein-Air in Watercolour –  the emphasis is on capturing light and mood, and on depicting the essence of a subject in the minimum of time. Ideal for beginners and great practice for those more experienced.

Centennial Park presents this art program in collaboration with Waverley Woollahra Art School. These fun and fast moving workshops are hosted by the artist educators from WWAS, in a range of drawing and painting media. You will learn skills and develop your practice as you capture the beautiful Parklands.

Tea with an Artist with Gria Shead – Drawing from Nature

Sunday 30 June 3pm until 5pm 2019 (Coffee, tea, pastries and all materials included. Feel free to bring your own drawing supplies and paper if desired.)

Join the artists from WWAS for an afternoon of Plein-Air drawing. This class will introduce you to Plein-Air-drawing – learn how to watch the beauty of nature unfold and to capture it on paper. The first in this series will be taught by award winning artists from the WWAS.

Coffee, tea, pastries and all materials included. Feel free to bring your own drawing supplies and paper if desired.
