9 week course outline:
Using stencils and drawings (the principles of printmaking) YouTube exercises sent out to you each week will assist you in creating ideas, a structure and skill in image making for printmaking.
Your terms work in your visual diary plus exercises will provide ideas and inspiration for when you return to the printmaking studio.
Materials required : A5 sketch pad, B6 graphite stick, cutting knife, cutting matt, A4 pad tracing paper, simple box of pastels, internet connection and one or two hours each week to complete the exercises.
Many artists during their careers spend time exploring printmaking. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced artist, this class will help you find new forms of expression through linocuts, woodcuts, etchings and monoprints. A full range of techniques is taught, enabling you to apply them in a creative and individual way.
Course fee includes most materials.
Courses run for 9 weeks from start date.
