Peter Griffen, born in Adelaide, and now working as a full time artist in Sydney, first exhibited in 1972 and has since had over fifty solo showings throughout Australia, five in London, four in Paris, two in St.Tropez, one in Lyon and one in New Zealand.
His work has been exhibited in art fairs in Europe, UK, Canada and Asia. He exhibits widely in group exhibitions, has been commissioned several times and his work has been acquired for private, public and corporate collections in Australia and overseas.
Peter Griffen works and lives in his studio and also enjoys working en plein air in various parts of the world, especially in the outback of Australia.

Sam Dickerson is the director of Dickerson Gallery in Queen Street Woollahra. The gallery was established in 1992, under the original name of ‘Queen Street Fine Art’, Dickerson Gallery Sydney continues to represent a finely selected group of emerging Australian artists. Sam branched into the Melbourne market in 2000. Dickerson Gallery Melbourne became a popular inner city gallery with a strong client following for many of its local and interstate artists until it’s closure in 2010.
In more recent times Dickerson Gallery Sydney is becoming a more active player in the secondary market and also deals in work by notable senior Australian artists, rapidly approaching 26 years at the same Sydney address representing emerging and established artists.
